ABOUT THE LEAGUE.

beAT the best.

Both CRL and Pacific Conference provide your team with the best opportunity to play against high level competition during the Spring. Top teams from CSL Premier and its Championship Divisions will face off against top teams from other leagues in the Southern California region.

Pacific Conference provides the unique opportunity to qualify for the USYS Far West Regionals. Teams that win their bracket will automatically earn their spot.

CRL Vs. PacIFIC CONFERENCE

Teams applying to play in the Pacific Conference MUST also participate in CalSouth National Cup in order to qualify for a Far West Regional Wildcard spot.

Teams applying to play in CRL do not have to participate in State Cup/Nat Cup, but are NOT eligible for a wildcard spot in Regionals.

League Flexibility.

The league understand that the Winter/Spring can be a busy time for some teams. For the older aged divisions, CRL/PC play will begin after high school, and for teams playing in National Cup or other player showcase tournaments, games will be scheduled around those conflicts if requested.

CRL / Pacific Conference League Format

  • Age Divisions & Bracketing

The league offers eight age divisions for boys and girls, from 2012’s up to 2005’s. Divisions will typically have 10-12 teams with each team playing each other once.

In the event that there are enough teams to make two brackets in an age division, CRL and Pacific Conference teams will be split. If there are not enough teams to create separate brackets, teams will be combined.

  • CRL/PCL League 2024

League games will kick off the Spring season on March 2nd, 2024. This will allow teams in CSL Premier and adjacent leagues to have a year-round soccer season from their Fall League games onto the CRL/PC league games in the Spring.

Pacific Conference teams must also participate in CalSouth National Cup and games will be scheduled around National Cup.

  • PACIFIC CONFERENCE

The Pacific Conference is one of 13 Conferences within the National League that offer team-based competition, meaning each team earns its place into the appropriate level of play through its play on the field. The 13 Conferences share national connectivity via the Conference Playoffs, which provide a platform for the top 10 percent of teams from the 3,500+ teams playing in the conferences to come together and compete for an opportunity to continue on the pathway toward the US Youth Soccer National Championships.
